A fantastic course for anyone new to computers & who would like to gain a good understanding of how PCs work and how to use popular software programs. However ECDL, with its expanded list of optional modules allows the learner to build on their newly gained skills to advance to more advanced modules. ECDL will enable you to show employers how IT literate you are and improve your employability in a wide range of fields and industries.
On this programme you can decide from the list of ECDL modules available, from which you may wish to study one or more modules. Some of the modules are shorter and some are longer - how soon you finish depends on how much time you invest on a weekly basis. At the moment there are no physical classes to attend. All learning material is available to you in the form of video and exercises and your assigned tutor will be available to you from Monday to Thursday 9am - 4.30pm and up to 1.30pm on Friday.
Some of the exams can be taken online and some modules are assessment based (your tutor will advise when you have decided what you want to study).
There are four core and three standard modules, plus three optional modules. We recommend that learners complete the four core modules and three standard modules. You must pass the four core modules to receive your European Computer Driving License Certificate (ECDL).
